EUNAVFOR MED – Meeting at sea for the units Commanders
On July 6 at sea , the Force Commander of the Operation, RADM Andrea Gueglio, hosted the commanding officers and elements of their staff on board the flag ship ITS Cavour in occasion of the arrival of the British unit, HMS Enterprise, and the two German units, FGS Werra and FGS Schleswig-Holstein.
The occasion provided opportunity to encourage integration among the task group staff and to exchange ideas and experience of the current situation, an essential element for the success of the mission.
During the visit a video conference was conducted between the Deputy Commander of the Operation, RADM Herve Blejean’s and the Force Commander.
The European Union Naval Operation in the Southern Central Mediterranean (EUNAVFOR MED), is a part of the European Union’s comprehensive approach that was launched on 22 june 2015.
